Due to the wide applicability of hot nozzles in the market for various hot runner installation possibilities, which have already been manufactured, they can meet these needs. From the perspective of usage, the classification and details of hot nozzles can be divided into internal heating, external heating, or both. There are also heat transfer nozzles, which are made of copper alloy and heated by the runner plate of the hot runner.
In some hybrid designs, the parts in front of the hot nozzle are made of high thermal conductivity materials, such as beryllium copper alloy and sintered molybdenum, which can be left unheated. One condition for using the hot nozzle function is to insulate the mold. A good way is to use air insulation, which means there is a gap of about 5-10mm between the hot nozzle and the template.
There is a distinction between normal hot runner and insulated hot runner in injection mold hot runner. The hot runner system is always economical in continuous operation of a uniform cycle. Frequent and prolonged interruptions may cause fistulae to clump and require removal. Although this operation takes less than five minutes, using this system in an irregular molding cycle is meaningless
