Now let's talk about the maintenance and upkeep of plastic injection mold products. If we don't pay attention to the maintenance and upkeep of the plastic products we use, it will shorten their normal service life. When we maintain and upkeep them, we should pay attention to the following points:
1. Plastic injection molding enterprises should first equip each set of molds with a resume card, detailing and recording their use, care (lubrication, cleaning, rust prevention), and damage situation. Based on this, it can be found which components and components have been damaged, the degree of wear, and provide information and data to discover and solve problems, as well as the molding process parameters and product materials of the mold, in order to shorten the trial run time of the mold and improve production efficiency.
2. Plastic injection molding enterprises should test the various performance of molds under normal operation of injection molding machines and molds, and measure the size of the formed plastic parts. Through this information, the existing state of the mold can be determined, and the damage to the cavity, core, cooling system, and parting surface can be identified. Based on the information provided by the plastic parts, the damage status and maintenance measures of the mold can be determined.
3. Attention should be paid to the surface maintenance of plastic injection molds, as it directly affects the surface quality of the product, with a focus on preventing rust. Therefore, it is particularly important to choose a suitable and professional anti rust oil. After the mold completes the production task, different methods should be used to carefully remove residual injection molding according to different injection molding methods. Copper rods, copper wires, and professional mold cleaning agents can be used to remove residual injection molding and other deposits inside the mold, and then air dry.
Prohibit cleaning hard objects such as iron wire and steel bars to avoid scratching the surface. If there are rust spots caused by corrosive injection molding, a grinder should be used to grind and polish them, and professional anti rust oil should be sprayed. Then, the mold should be stored in a dry, cool, and dust-free place.
4. Key tracking and testing should be carried out on several important components of plastic injection molds: the function of the ejection and guide components is to ensure the opening and closing movement of the mold and the ejection of the plastic parts. If any part of the mold gets stuck due to damage, it will lead to production stoppage. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly maintain the lubrication of the mold ejector pin and guide pillar (using suitable lubricants), and regularly check whether the ejector pin and guide pillar have deformation and surface damage. Once found, it should be replaced in a timely manner;
