1、 Control of plastic temperature
The control of plastic temperature is extremely important in the application of hot runner molds. Many processing and product quality problems that occur in the production process directly stem from poor temperature control in the hot runner system For example, when using the hot needle gate method for injection molding, there are issues with poor quality of the product gate, difficulty in closing the valve needle when using the valve gate method for molding, and inconsistent filling time and quality of parts in multi cavity molds. If possible, a hot runner system with separate temperature control in multiple areas should be chosen as much as possible to increase flexibility and strain capacity in use
2、 Control of plastic flow
Plastic in the hot runner system needs to flow in a balanced manner. The gate should be opened simultaneously to allow the plastic to synchronously fill various cavities. For parts with significant differences in weight, the gate size design should be balanced. Otherwise, there may be problems such as insufficient pressure retention during mold filling for some parts, excessive pressure retention during mold filling for some parts, and poor quality due to excessive flash. The size design of the hot runner gate should be reasonable. If the size is too small, the pressure loss during mold filling will be too large, and if the size is too large, the volume of the hot runner will be too large, Plastic stays in the hot runner system for too long, which damages the material properties and causes the parts to fail to meet the usage requirements after molding
